It is the policy of this school to endeavour to:
Provide a social world in which the children develop social relations and ethical standards.
Build the children foundations of knowledge on which all learning is based.
Foster in children quiet pride in achievement, responsibility, self discipline, tolerance and respect for democratic principles.
Develop the children’s self assurance by showing them not only what they ought to learn, but also how to learn effectively.
Provide an orderly place where serious learning takes place, not induced by fear of repressive measures, but dependent on encouragement and sense of involvement.
Help the children to arrange, within themselves, the motivation to pursue their own development in the direction encouraged by the school.
Monitor, evaluate, correct and record the development of each individual and have available the results of such assessment.
Realise special needs of individuals and endeavour to cater for these needs.
Encourage neat standards of dress, courtesy and behaviour.
Encourage community involvement by all interested people.
Maintain open and honest communications between school and community.
Support community organisations, and in return, encourage support from them.
Provide a safe, clean and attractive environment for staff and children.
